Hi from leonberg Germany yeah just Outside of Stuttgart not in Kansas Anymore no no no no no yeah we're uh We're over here uh we have a meeting Tonight with a group of people that are Interested in learning about property in In Sarasota Um should be a great evening I think It's it's really nice have a great Opportunity hopefully to sell some real Estate but if nothing else we get to Learn we've actually spent uh some time Here today with having lunch with the Broker here they told us all about kind Of what their processes are and it's Totally different than what we do in Fact Once they get a listing they have it They get paid a commission Um on that listing Um and you know they there's no MLS it's So different than so different than what We do MLS where we share in the Inventory there's no sharing interviews It is but they don't share inventory at All right like if somebody sends over a Buyer too bad right so they they really Are very competitive and they really are Um sort of you know working against the Competition whereas Um it is really more collaborative in in The US the way it's set up with the Multiple listing service so but this Would be a great experience we're hoping
Um obviously something comes from this But a great location as you can see it's Really cool little uh town and um yeah So we'll see yeah we'll see how it goes Foreign Foreign [Music] Invited us so we wanted to come in Um so I grew up in Sarasota the area That we're going to be talking about Today Um I was in the military for about six Years and then after the military I ran Nursing homes all over the country I was The CEO of a nursing home company for For several years uh got out through About three three and a half four years Ago and went into real estate so I have About three to three and a half years of Real estate experience but Um we're doing a lot of transactions Over there so we're extremely busy right Now Um have been all the way through covid Um the United States I think is similar To Germany in the sense that in interest Rates have gone up the rest of the Country their real estate markets have Started to slow down dramatically but in Florida we have not it's continued to Rise even despite the changes so I Wanted to make this interactive Um you know feel free to ask any Questions we want to kind of let you
Guys tell us where you want us to talk About or any questions we we can answer We want to show you about Sarasota we Want to show you some pictures to give You familiarity because lots of people Know Miami Fort Lauderdale Jacksonville Palm Beach and by the way just to go Back to who I am Shayla twit of course I've been selling since 2002 so for 21 Years a long time this is all I've Pretty much done for a very long time And I love it originally actually from Wisconsin with the weather just similar To Germany lots of snow and so my Younger brother was down in Sarasota I Knew nothing about it and he was at the Ringling School of Art and Design which Is a very world famous art school so Part of Sarasota's draw is the art scene Which is the ringing School One of the amazing draws to Sarasota for Lots of people Siesta Key year after Year is voted the number one beach in The country the sand is ultra white to The point that when the sun comes down It hurts your eyes when you go out there It's actually quartz it's like we have The supply boards and we'll show you Some photos of that but that's that's Kind of the area that we're working in It's yeah well it's usually the top Beach in the United States but normally In the top three four number one in your Top three so to give you an idea this is
The bridge that heads out to Longboat Key Um is that better yeah okay our office Actually is out on this island out here So as we go over the bridge Um these all of these buildings are Buildings that we sell in they're you Know condos uh as you got to Longboat Key you'll have everything from single Family homes it's a large luxury single Family homes Um Anaconda development projects that Include Um Sarasota is starting to really Attract a very large luxury Market of uh Branded properties so the Ritz Carlton St Regis hotels both of us sold very Large units in the St Regis project They'll be done in April or May Um but Sarasota is a fun fact we're the Only city in the world that has five Ritz Carlton Towers so that's kind of Interesting so it's bringing in that Crowd and people are really starting to Know about Sarasota whereas you know it Was all Miami and everything and we do Have an international airport yeah That's real really Sarasota is a whole Lifestyle I mean it's not just beaches But But art the art is culture is very big And it's we have theater extremely large Theater they're building an entire Entire fairly new Performing Arts Center
There it's a 180 million dollar project That's right on the water we have sports We have music we have entertainment and You're still close to shoot up to Tampa Um you're still Disney 's about an hour and a half away Um if you if you're like hey look I Really want to go watch you know American football or I want to go see a Basketball game they're about a three Hour drive down to Miami of course you Can fly down there as well so it's it's Pretty easy or pretty conveniently and Centrally located Arenas and enjoying Social Clubs we have The Sarasota Yacht Club and it goes from You know the lower cost to all the way Up in the high-end golf communities and Everything in between so we Longboat Key to Sarasota and South so we Start a downtown area so you're looking Kind of up in the opposite direction That we had before fishing we have Fishing charters Charter related you know You know jet skiing this is our brand New mall University Town Center and say As of right now this is probably your Highest in shopping that we have in Sarasota now we do have a lot that's Coming we have a lot of these brand new Condo developments the first floors are Going to be commercial space where They're going to be putting in Hermes at
Louis Vuitton and Gucci and all the Really high-end shopping as as we're Sitting here right now though this would Be your kind of highest at shopping Center if you've heard of Lakewood Ranch Probably I don't know Lake around Florida is right next to like so on that Map it was just to the east of it Northeast of Sarasota it's a whole Master plan community so you've I don't Know the villages is another part of Florida it's a very large master plan Community that's actually bigger than Disney it's uh in like the branch but Interesting interestingly enough is the Fastest growing community in the United States So we're having explosive growth east of 75 out that way so Florida has no state In impacts so a lot of people look at it As we love that if I can work remotely I Might as well move to a state where I Don't pay the state income taxes I'm Only paying federal income tax now it's Almost like they're getting a pay Increase yeah this is the very south of Kind of where we like to sell and yeah Again just The islands are just very different so You can find something for everybody so If you want the Privacy we have that Um Anna Maria is a little bit of like Jimmy Buffett I don't know you've heard Of music right Jimmy Buffett very
Relaxed and that sort of thing and then Minnesota It's all about the water does anybody Golf golf Plus yeah they do we have hundreds of All horses in our area so there's a club There's you know know anything from Public to semi-private to Ultra Luxury You know high-end golf clubs there's Really I mean lots and lots of options Everything looks like even though I've Been selling for 21 years I still when I When I look at the properties and I'm Just there I feel like is this even real Like it just feels like you're in a Postcard this house is for sale right Now that one's 38 million point two five Million yeah so some of the properties Go high up but let me just say you know Our price range starts at around 400 250 000 that goes all the way up Really healthy if someone wants to come A week or two a year or a month a year Sure there is a really good opportunity If someone wanted to do that do you have Any questions so far so is this just for Holiday a holiday living or it's both my Clientele are 50 50. okay 50 of them are Buying and living there full time and 50 Of them are buying second homes or Vacation homes that they a lot of people Will buy and they've rented out a Portion of the year to offset some of Their costs and generate some Revenue
Um but I also have clients that buy it's A second home they don't rent it out It's just for us and our family and the Tower isn't allowed to use them for Airbnb like this so it depends uh Depends on which building you're talking About and so they have each building Will have like a board and what they Call a homeowners association that Oversees it and building by building It's different so if you If the German Came up came across and said I want to Buy a house Do you have any possibilities to Like Health refinancing not not like Giving but do you have yes Business with foreigners that's Important yeah we have a couple people Now It's our job to connect you with the Mortgage lender that's our job to Connect with the accountant it's our job To find you the property get the Transaction all the way through closing And and to make sure everything is set Up properly to meet your needs I mean Each client is going to have different Needs so thank you for coming so thank You you've been very smart Thank you [Applause]
