Sarasota and that is going to be The Mya Riv River State Park so the Maka River State Park is Florida's oldest and Largest state park it has over 58 square Miles of wetlands prairies and hammocks And it's absolutely perfect for you know The person who loves exploring nature It's perfect for adventure Seekers with The hiking trails um the waterways and It's great for canoers and kayakers even Though are there are some alligators but They are you know they're not going to Come at you and attack you um and then We also have it's great for fishing and Also like I mentioned earlier it's great For hiking too so the Mya River State Park I think it's a really cool area um It's a really cool you know canopy to Walk under it's just a cool experience Whether you live here or you are just Visiting here me as a resident I go to Myaka River State Park just to check it Out cuz it's always cool to go there Time to time now the second major Attraction here in Sarasota is going to Be the beaches and I'm sure you guys Know which beach I'm talking about and That is going to be the amazing Siesta Key be Beach it is known for its white Silky sugary sand beaches and it is Consistently voted the United States Most beautiful beach and probably ranked In the top five beaches in the entire United States and it's really perfect For you know your active beach goers It's great for romantic getaways if you Find a little corner little seclusion Over there it's a great area and it's Also great for family vacations because You know there's a lot of kids running Around especially during spring break Right and that brings us to our third Attraction for things to do in Sarasota And that is going to go to the mo Marine Laboratory and Aquarium so this Marine Research Center is about home to about 100 different marine species including Manatees jellyfish sea turtles seahorses And a lot of different other creatures Right and I think it's great for you Know families of all ages it's great for People of all demographics I think it's Just a great time they are expanding Their aquarium over by the University Town Center area it's going to take a Little bit to build they haven't started Yet um but it's going to be there soon Um and you know the mo the mo aquarium Is it's perfect for families like I said But it's also great for you know sea Creature enthusiasts kids that love to Go look at you know underwater sea life Um it you can spend a whole day there Honestly it's it's something that I go To too and I really like that area so Now that's going to bring us into our Fourth attraction which is the amazing Leo key and Leo Beach which is located Just west of downtown Sarasota it has Gorgeous breathtaking sunset views and I Mean don't get me wrong Siesta Key Beach Um sunsets are absolutely gorgeous but You just can't beat leok Key Beach Sunsets I don't know why they're not That far apart but they are absolutely Gorgeous and Leo key and leok Key Beach Is really known for the deep sea fishing That's just off the shore over there and Also sailing just cuz it's more of an Open body water right there and also Dolphin watching as Dolphins pass Through there either going north into The other Islands or going south over Down by Siesta Key and Leo Beach is Great for you know romantic getaways Couples and also of course the beach Lover so now that we talked about Beaches aquariums um and also state Parks let's talk about some activities Which is going to bring us to our fifth Attraction and that is going to be the Legacy Trail so the Legacy Trail has Been expanding over the past year now it Is a 13 plus mile pave trail that winds Through you know Florida's Lush Landscapes basically it goes all the way From Venice all the way up to brington Now since Northport is becoming such a Booming area especially with well and Park coming in they are making a Connector trail that goes from Northport To Venice so it's going to be even more Amazing when it's fully completed but It's that's probably one of the biggest Trails that are used on a daily basis There's a lot of people that use it but It's absolutely great for biking hiking Running especially in the winter months When you can go throughout you know Throughout the day in the summer it can Get a little bit hot because it is in The open and it is paved um that's why I Would go more either in the evenings or During the early mornings too but always Travel with a buddy it's always a good Thing to travel with Buddy and have fun Right so then that also brings us to our Sixth attraction which is also going to Visit St Armen Circle so if you guys Haven't visited St Arman Circle you are Missing out because it's a really cool It's called a round about marketplace Right it has a lot of shopping Restaurants clothing stores it's this One huge circle where you can walk Around and obviously it has little Fingers and stuff like that but you can Just walk around the whole entire thing And spend hours and hours even a day There shopping you know eating um it's Just a very fun place it also goes to Leok key and leok Key Beach um it's a Great place to go the parking is a Little bit rough to get there um just Because there's limited parking but if You go on a good day there shouldn't be An issue with parking at all besides St Armor Circle we have another location And that's going to bring us to the Eighth attraction and that is the John And Mabel wringling Museum of Art so it Was named after the co-founder of the Ringling Brothers um in Bailey Circus so If you guys have heard of the circus This is kind of a one-of-a-kind treasure Um and it's really home to some amazing Original and reproduction art honestly Um and some classical Greek Roman and Renaissance Era architecture right so When you go there you will really feel The history walking in and you could Honestly spend once again another whole Day there I go there occasionally and It's always a great thing even though I Live here I still go there right and It's perfect for families like if you Love history or if you just love to see Kind of the whole entire you know this It's a very unique Museum right so it's Great for families great for history Buffs and great for history enthusiasts Right because there's a lot of Rich History that's involved in all of that And then we have a little bit more of a Fun a little bit more upbeat and that is Going to be the sarasas farmers market So the sarasot farmers market if you Love getting fresh produce it has been Here since 1979 it is open yearround and It takes place every Saturday at 700 A.m. to 1 p.m. and they're really best Known for their wide variety of local Fruits veggies and you know there are Also a lot of great local crafts health And beauty products and my favorite Fresh baked goods I can I I always love Getting a French pastry or some sort of Pastry there it is always amazing and You know if you really like going Outdoors you know it in the summer Months it may rain it may rain you out But in the winter months you are pretty Good to go that you know there probably Won't be rain so it's always fun time to Go there and at least spend an hour or Two there um and just enjoying Supporting the local community and now That's going to bring us to our other Attraction and that is going to be the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens and so Located just off of the Palma Avenue the Botanical gardens is home to about a Thousand different species of plants and Flowers and it has been open the crazy Thing is that it has been open to the Public for the past four decades right And I think that's something very cool Cuz I go walking through there and it Just amazes me like the bonsai trees That are so big you can go walking over These floating Bridges and you know they Put on a very good show during the Holidays and stuff like that they Definitely decorate to the nines it's Definitely a very cool place to check Out especially when you're visiting Sarasota during the holidays and now the 10th and final thing to do here in Sarasota it is going to be catering Towards all my foodie friends out there And that is going to be taking food to Like I've mentioned in other podcast Episodes there have been there is a rich History of you know Saro is known to be A Melting Pot of different cultures so There's a lot of different flares going On here in Sarasota whether that be Mexican Latin you know uh you know Authentic Italian traditional American Food you know there's just a blend of Everything Mediterranean and now there Is some hybrids going on as well so you Can take a variety of these Food Tours In downtown Sarasota and go to all these Different restaurants right it's a Little bit on the pricey side but it's Definitely worth it because you get to Taste all these different very nice Restaurants here in Sarasota and kind of Get to see what the culture is like in Sarasota but if you are looking to go to A very nice Italian restaurant highly Recommend that you go and check out Napoli restaurant just off of us41 in Sarasota it's uh it's just south of the South cesta key entrance and it it's Honestly probably the most authentic Italian food that I've had they make the Best Woodfire pizzas and that's where I That's where I recommend basically all My clients go to and not one of them has Complained about it because it is so Good I've actually had friends that have Flown to Italy and they've come back and They're like this literally tastes like Italy right and the chef himself comes From uh Italy so it's no it's no Surprise or no shock there but they make Probably the best Italian food 100% so That kind of wraps up some of the things To do in Sarasota and I would love to Hear from you guys if
