All right we're here at Morton's market Today where is this place so you're You're down just west of the trail but Beautiful place this place been around Forever um we'll love to tell you all About It you know this place is awesome it's Very Gourmet it's very Fancy of Hillview west of the trail in The Southside District by the hospital What else well I mean it the location's Great I mean obviously it's like Central Sarasota but the place has been here Forever about 55 60 years you know that I I just I've known uh and I know kind Of who who owned it I the Morton family Owns it Mone on yes yeah the Morton Family owned it um there's a period from Like 2007 I or 2000 90 97 to 2007 There's a 10-year period there where uh Bill Griffin and the Griffin family Owned it shout out to fondin in our Office she's it's Bill's daughter um They owned it and they they also uh During that 10e period that's when they Open lies across the street as well um But obviously I mean the I I can sort of Tell like Publix is I mean we shop at Publix most of the time he don't act Publix yeah Whole Foods is probably a Notch above that this is way about wait Hang on a second okay I would say Whole Foods and Morton are pretty similar okay Maybe Morton is higher up yeah Morton is

Way way way higher because at the end of The day like I mean they they're gonna They have like premium steaks all the Meat all the food but they also one of The things that I really love I used to Come by here all the time um funny Enough I used to live right down the Road I used to have a place right here On right um but I used to come down here All the time because they have tog go Dinners where you can just grab it's Like pre-made dinner and you just grab It and microwave it um they also have Slice their pizza here they sell by the Slice is out of this world so if you Want to come by for lunch this is I've Never had it's out of this world see Like we we live off University so to Come here would be like in between like Our workday probably I mean we pass I Pass it all the time but I don't Necessarily stop here all the time and I Don't think about it cuz when you live Certain area you don't always need to Come and and the only reason I know all This is uh when I was running nursing Homes I had a nursing home that's like Right around the corner from here so you Then we would we would hop over here for Lunch um Andor on my way home I would Just hop in here and grab something for Dinner that that I could heat up pretty Quickly so but yeah I mean they've been Around forever something else I really

Love about it they have an amazing wine List of really high this this was coming Yeah had to know the wine was coming With me is is that the main reason why You like it I mean I really do love it Like but you though coffee shop it's Really but look if you're coming here um This is not where you want to come if You're on a budget like the the you know It's obviously you're paying a huge Premium uh when you come here but you're Getting ultra high quality and the Location and yeah I guess it just if Some of these specialty things like Publix is definitely not going to have And certainly to your point like Whole Foods isn't going to have and I would Also classify Whole Foods with fresh Market somewhere in there and then also Debers deers Yeah yeah they're good but that's not It's not fancy but it's good quality Food here everything is going to be Everything is really high but it's Really high quality stuff so you're Paying a premium to have that higher Quality meat or that higher quality Fruit or or you know in honestly their Their wine selection they they don't Really carry very many lower tier Cheaper wines it's really high-end stuff So you know you're going to you're going To get good quality when you come here And probably not get a headache after

You drink their wine correct correct Correct so but it's great the location Is really nice you know back when uh I Had the nursing home I mean we're Talking C it's probably 15 20 years ago Um you know when you came down here There weren't really any restaurants Down here there was I me Libby wasn't Here um there really wasn't much here Once Libby opened now there's kind of More activity and more going on down Here there's Fifi there's a little Fashion house I'll show you in the in The clips here and of course libes libes That they have since renovated a while Ago now right I remember coming down Here when it was something what was the Name before it was something else there Was like a wine it was like a wine place Before where they did like wine tastings And that kind of thing Veronica's fish House which is owned by the Kaja family There's also marmalade across the street A hair Salon um and again yeah really centrally Located just south of downtown yeah and If you're near if you live out on CSI And you're you're like okay I really Want a great state tonight yes there's Great restaurants you can go to but you Can also hop in here and grab a great Steak and some wine and some high-end uh Sides so yeah and this is also one of Those areas that is walkable so if you
