SAN REMO SHORES community, off of Cortez Road near Cortez Village, an old Florida fishing town, within a quick drive to Anna Maria Island and her beautiful beaches!
Since the mid-1960s, the San Remo Shores in Bradenton has stood as one of the quintessential boating communities in Manatee County. This waterfront neighborhood has managed to retain the Old Florida charm of Cortez Village, and it is highly recommended for house hunters who are passionate about boating, fishing, diving, nature, and historical real estate.
San Remo Shores was developed at a time when waterfront real estate was plentiful around Southwest Florida. The architectural styles are mostly Florida ranch-style homes, although a few residences are low-rise condominium units and even modern waterfront mansions. Virtually all homes back into deep water canals with private docking space; the vessels kept by homeowners range from sports fishers to day sailers and ocean kayaks.
The single-family homes in San Remo Shores are typically ranch-style homes with three or four bedrooms. Many of the homes have been extensively remodeled, and they are in very high demand. Since this is an older neighborhood, house hunters can expect spacious properties built on large home sites; a three-bedroom and two full bathrooms built on 2,682 square feet could be found listed under $500K in late 2015.
PRICING: mid $500s to the highest in the last few years $2.7M. Most of them UNDER $1.2M.

FISHING VILLAGE:
Take a walk through the historic fishing village of Cortez and visit the old fish houses. Listen to locals tell the tale of yesteryear fishing in the bays and waterways of the Gulf of Mexico.
The historic Cortez Village is a National Register of Historic Places community that has worked hard to preserve its unique Florida Gulf Coast Heritage by fighting the pressures from modern development that have brought about the loss of much that was old time Florida. This commercial fishing community has opened its own Museum and through exhibits and programs it interprets a unique culture, celebrating the traditional life on the sundrenched Gulf Coast.

Homes like I said are have maintained That sort of ranch style there are some That are being torn down but even to the End of each of these canals you'll Notice when you come back down here that They're not you know bulldozing Everything they're really kind of Keeping with that old Florida charm and I think it's great I mean when you Compare it to everything else that's Just being redone and rebuilt and built Upon and everything I think it's nice to Have like a little bit of that older Florida F still so I love that about Sano Shores um many of the homes have Also been extensively remodeled they Generally kind of are in that 2600 to 3,000 or even smaller um square footage Range and we found one in here closer to 525 but they do go upwards of I found uh The mid at the highest price sale I Found in here was 2.7 which was a few Years back but the majority of the homes Back here are under 1.2 million so the Beautiful part about this location not Just because it's close to the beach but The water Frontage is a deep water canal No Bridges except for if you do go Through Cortez you do have a bridge There otherwise you can go north where There are no Bridges um and it's a wide Canal it's a very wide Canal so you have Space from your neighbor which is Wonderful it's an extra feature of
