Hi thank you so much for tuning in to Living in Sarasota luxury today we’re Going to explore Longboat Key which is Probably my favorite key in all of Sarasota so stay tuned [Music] My name is Mariah Taliaferro I’m a Realtor with Premier Sotheby’s International Realty and we specialize In downtown Sarasota and the surrounding Keys today before we dive into the Content of this channel be sure to like And subscribe my channel that’ll help The YouTube algorithm share my content With other people so here we are we’re On Longboat Key as we speak right behind Me is the Intercoastal Waterway this is Called New pass anytime you’re going Over that bridge right there and you see That water it’s just an amazing reminder That you live in probably one of the Most beautiful places in the entire World here in Sarasota and that water is Just aqua blue probably 95 of the time And it’s also amazing boating water so If you’re looking to have a boat here There’s plenty of areas on Longboat Key And the surrounding neighborhoods to Have deep boating access and direct shot To the open Bay as well as the golf So Longboat Key is about 11 miles and It’s practically all private beach even Though no beach is technically private There are only about eight access points
Where the public can park and then you Know go to the beach so unlike Lido Where there’s an actual designated Parking lot Longboat Key doesn’t have That and along the gulf part of Widow Key you have single family homes as well As beautiful Condominiums so just to Kind of give you a bit of a history Lesson back in the early 1990s a Development Group card called arvida Came through and they established the Majority of Longboat Key So the part that we’re in right now Which is the southern tip this whole Section was developed by Arvada as well As the Longboat Key clubs the Condominium developments that are right Behind the Gates of the Longboat Key Club and then Bay Isles Beach Club which Is further Um more by mid key the Longboat Key Club Is a major attraction for people that Live in downtown Sarasota Lido Key West Of Trail because it’s the closest golf Course to those areas the Longboat Key Club offers Golf Course memberships and Social memberships they have four Different restaurants 20 tennis courts Two 18 whole golf courses that are all Just so beautifully manicured and also Are on the water and they also have a Marina as well the Longboat Key Club Also has a resort associated with it and Beach Club access as well so if you want
Tennis social golf course and Beach the Longboat Key Club has best option so Longboat Key was actually inhabited by Indigenous people and then in the early 1920s John Ringling really put it on the Map later when the Arvada group came in That’s when you saw the biggest boom of Development but there are some historic Sections of Longboat Key like on the Furthest North End where Shore Diner and Maravista is located there’s actually a Historic town there and it’s very very Charming but like I said most of Longbow Key is actually constructed between 1990 And most recently with Rosewood Sage Infinity and Arya those are the four Newest condominium developments those Are all completed in within the last 10 Years Longboat Key offers the best of all Worlds you have boating access to the Bay and the Gulf of Mexico you have Amazing sandy beaches you have tennis Courts and golf courses through the Longboat Key Club and a lot of different Restaurants along the key but you also Have really close proximity to Anna Maria Island to the north with their Historic village as well as downtown Sarasota and Saint Armand Circle so it’s Really great if you’re wanting to get Close to everything but have everything Within your fingertips as well and with The most recent development of the Saint
